Design Practice 2: How to... Stitching Progress

I poked all the holes in advance ready to stitch and kept to just black for the text so that it was clear and not swayed by lots of colour.



 I cut out the word create on the laser machine to have loose tread placed behind it


I repeated lines to get different thickness in the typeface



 stages of the sewing



I used silver thread for the shadowing of the word exhibit to represent that exhibit is in a space. I also did the word 'here' in dashed silver thread like empty space boxes and the colour to represent a vacant area.




Final stitching
The hands pointing were really difficult to work out and get the fingers in the right place but I was happy with the end result.
