I started making a pattern out of the different lines i had created and placed guide lines to stay within to make the pattern continuous.
i discovered i would have to crop out the extra bits on the side in order for it to be continuous
even then it wasn't but i felt like it was to much of a block and needed more space between the top and bottom of the pattern and therefore added another few lines
this was slightly wonky so i realised i needed to align them properly
i added the triangles to make a diamond in-between them because i felt it was to empty
i'm struggling to make them join properly still
I went to the mac bubble for some advice and it was because they weren't completey and utterly aligned along the side and i just needed to manually change this. I did do this but it didn't completey fit together but i got it so close.
I realised that one of the lines made up of the earpieces of the glasses didn't repeat properly so i fixed this but this didn't immediately align so i had to play around with positioning and angle
so close!
from afar you can't see the small line left but this is as close as i've got it so far
Adding colour using a swatch from illustrator under 'Kids Stuff'
I tried a softer palette of colours that i sourced from research, there still bright, young and fresh but not as harsh. I wanted to pull away from traditional earth tones and reds and do something more crazy.
