Design Production: Origami - Crit

My questions i wanted answered:

  1. Is my poster readable from both angles?
  2. Does the flyer need more information or is the direction to the website enough to intrigue people to know more?
  3. Would my promotional designs work in an environment?
  4. Do you understand what the poster is promoting and its cause?
  5. Should my flyer be bigger and have clearer text once folded or does it instruct you clear enough as it is?
  6. What do you think i should change if i do it again?
  7. Is the reference for colour clear?
Strengths:

Josh and Eve -

  • Clever idea for the folded leaflet - desirable
  • Nice stock matching theme
  • Creative poster works well, really nice concept, play about with a bit more to get right angle
Steph and Greta -

  • Innovation
  • Interesting folding/poster technique
  • It work really well as a set/is consistent
  • We loved the way you used folding and it became more innovative and more interesting
  • Really interactive as well
  • The flyer size works well enough (small size)
  • Good colour choice

Areas for Improvement:

Josh and Eve:

  • As much as we like it we wouldn't want to ruin it by unfolding it
  • Could try simpler origami easier to unfold and put both together
  • Unclear what 3rd product is
  • How does the whole folding origami connect to peace?
Steph and Greta:
  • Might need to fold it one more time for the poster to work or have an instruction on how to view it. The flyer might need a bit of information... sorry looked at the wrong piece
  • Maybe the peace sign and the bomb is a bit cheesy for the poster (maybe smaller in the corner)
Considerations:

Josh and Eve:

  • Would work better inside, unless you change materials
  • Need to experiment more with the angle of poster
  • Shadowed 'war' works better
  • Red signifies war?
Steph and Greta:

  • Would work as a human size installation in the street (a passage maybe) made from solid material and just stood on the ground

When we then went through our concepts after i spoke about my mail shot idea of having a number to each swan to the house number to make it more personal and encourage them to fold it and send it in the free post envelope. They really liked this idea and thought it was a good way to keep it interactive and make a connection with the audience.
