Format and stock considerations

I tried didn't images to show how the image would fade in as the background.
The top left image is the one more what i'm aiming for as one of my dish ideas is the sharing platter which includes a wooden board with bits of food on as it shows.
If I was to create an actual website on Dreamweaver i'd properly have to take my own photograph in order to get the correct scale and resolution.
