Design Production: Coffee Cup Development

I mocked up my coffee cup design. I decided to scrap the pattern idea across the range of the packaging and just keep it plain and simple with the white, black and brown stock. I wanted to see what the coffee cup would look like with the card sleeve on the plain white background.

I wasn't as pleased as I thought i'd be by the result so I decided to try something else. I engraved the pattern into the brown stock using the laser machine so that the pattern was still there adding a bit more detail but wasn't going to effect peoples eyes.

This looked a lot better than the mock up I presented as it was a bit more interesting but didn't ruin the design concept.
