DESIGN PROCESS
first i chose one of the pictures from my research to trace for the chilli pepper
trace |
Adding block colour and eyes personifying the chilli using the same style as the pacman characters to keep within the theme
placing the chilli on the picture/image poster i then accompanied it with the pac man character and dot path featured in the game, creating a flow from the image poster to the next
Using www.dafont.com i searched for pacman and found this font: http://www.dafont.com/crackman.font
This worked perfectly for my theme therefore i started getting text phrases together and exploring with captials (outline) and lowercase (block) letters.
I then started experimenting adding full spots
starting point
adding lines under the text
adding text to the third poster
adding colour to text
adding colour in underlines of text
changing colour theme
using just two colours as described on brief
Changing the colour theme and changing the underlines of text to the same dots featured on the game to intwine the posters as a set and series and partially changing the colour of the text.
changing the backdrop to a different colour stock
changing the text to all the same colour
changing the size of the chilli
sticking to the brief description of two colours and changing the colour of text again
deciding i wanted to definitely use the colour yellow in the posters as its so connected with pacman i changed the chilli to yellow so there was only two colours
both chillis
adding the new yellow chilli
changing the colour of text
making the chilli a silhouette and no longer personified
i decided to try changing the stock again to see what colours i could get out of that as i was more fond keeping the chilli red as it stands out alot more
i also changed the text on the text poster to the actual proverb so it was more obvious to what the posters were representing
also changing size of text on the third poster
changing colour of text
making the pacman character and dot path outlines thicker to bring them out more
changing the text on the third poster to 'gain' instead of 'keep' as it seemed to fit more with the process of the game
changing the line to the dot path again, bringing the theme and posters together
keeping to the stock and two colour brief description
changing the tone of yellow stock
final poster design ready to print on coloured stock
